It's been a while...

Hi family and friends! It's been a while...

Glen and I are counting the seconds until summer vacation. Yes, I know you're all jealous- we get two months off of work and get to snuggle the baby. But listen, we deserve it! Working for the school system is not cake... nope. So, a little over two more weeks and we're freeeeee!

What's been going on? Well, Viva is standing and cruising around, holding onto furniture, Lemon, book shelves, people's knees, you name it. She stands up unassisted like a pro, and just today she tried to take a step. That didn't work out as planned- but I think she plans on trying again tomorrow.

On our last visit, the pediatrician said she'll probably be walking by her first birthday and an early talker. whoa! I don't know if we're ready for that. Lemon isn't so sure about that plan either.
However, Viva seems determined to walk right into your life and talk your ear off.

She's a doll. We love her. My mom is mad because I keep saying "Isn't she so cute?" ... she told me I have to be more humble and others might find it obnoxious. Ummmm, impossible.

Oh, you probably know already- I (jane) cut my left pointer finger, very badly. I am a clumsy dummy. Actually, it's called the "Index" finger, and every time I referred to it as my pointer I was met with rolled eyes at the ER. Annnnyway, yeah. So for a couple weeks, Glen really had to do some major double duty. (think, double the diaper change, baths, food prep...) Yup. A lot of extra work. Poor guy. As for my poin-dex finger, it's healing very slowly. Blah.

Always, always, always unplug your immersion blender before you disassemble it.

Here are some pics!

Viva contemplates life.

Mom is the silliest. No wait, I am.

Viva contemplates literature.

Post bath Appa time. (appa's dad in Korean) Hey do you see her tie-dye onesie on the wall? She wore that home from the hospital nearly 10 months ago!

Sleepy, not sad. Somebody juuuust woke up from a nap.

Hanging out with my cousins! May and Nori!

Hey, this is my Grandpa!

Viva disturbing May's quiet reading.

May, Aly, Appa, me, Nori, Aunt Erica!

Okay that's all for now! If you're reading this. we love you and miss you!

THanks for the heads up by e-mail that we should come to your blog and see photos. I had missed the last several postings! This batch was great. I laughed at Viva buggin her cousin's quiet reading time, and Glen surrounded by women. Outnumbered by far! I can tell it must be hot by the tiny sunsuits Viva is wearing. Have lots of fun when vacation begins, you three! I sure wish we could all be together.
Love, Grandma Kathy

Poindex. Hah. You are too funny.

And don't you even try to be humble, she is the greatest baby....girl!

Walking by one! L is so jealous! But then again, he does have lots of weight to lug around, right? Viva needs to teach him a few things, so please bring her right over.
